Did 2 back to back cruises, chosen for the itenary. The Millennium us in need a refresh. We were on this ship in 2004, room decor has not been updated. Room stewards and dining room staff were excellent. Food was in the dining room was overall ok, pass on the steak and chicken that is standard on the menu. The lobster on the speciality nights was not worth eating. The Tuscan Restaurant was good, portion size is over the top. Specialty restaurants weren't selling well, look for a 50% off, this was offered numerous times on board. Entertainment was typical for any cruise ship line. Shops on the ship were average, same as any other line. They ran out of the iPad mini, and the regular iPad. Activives during the day have been cut back. They did add a coloring class, which was a waste of time.
Shore excursions were hit and miss. I would recommend going to the shore excursions desk and ask questions regarding how much time at each place. Biggest disappointment in exsurions was that in most places there is no inside enterence to the palaces or castles. You walk around the outside. The few we were able to go inside were empty rooms. Pretty much every shrine or temple looks the same. You will save around $10 per excursion booking before you go on the cruise, A few new shore excursion options are added on board. Wifi on board is extremely expensive, $300 for the 1st person, 50% off for the 2nd person. If you want wifi, recommend choosing this as one of your free perks.
Did 2 back to back cruises, 28 days. Cabins are in definite need of a refresh, we were on the Millennium 14 years ago, cabin still looked the same. Bathroom shower needs to be replaced, due to mold. Biggest complaint was the toilet didn't flush, called maintenance 8-9 times. Most of the problems was due to a vacuum problem, multiple cabins were envolved.
Room steward did a fantastic job, no complaints there.
Very smoggy the day we were there. Also went to Stanley Market which was like a swap meet. Had a 15 boat ride around the harbor.
Went to a shrine and temple. Both were outside visits, ok for picture taking. Pricey for what we saw
