I choose Royal Caribbean as a loyal cruiser. We choose Galveston, TX as our departure city because we do not like to fly to the port. We were extremely pleased with the embarkation and disembarkation. This is the quickest we have passed through the terminal. The cabin was amazing. The company and the cabin steward were conscience about my health issues. I required distilled water and extension cord for my CPAP machine. It was in the cabin at no cost when we arrived. I have insulin that I use. The cabin steward, Patricia Howard brought in a small refrigerator for our use.
The only thing was a distraction. The check in at the dinning room was a visual display of a monkey and his football. Once checked in the number of our table was provided to the dinning room staff. We took a complete tour of the dinning room before stumbling on the table. After two nights of the same fiasco, we started bypassing the check in and seated ourselves. Our head waiter Sedrak was the most enjoyable and informative we have had on our seven cruises. We have already booked our next cruise, but Sedrak is on vacation. We contemplated changing our cruise time.
I was dissatisfied with the not being able to take pictures during the entertainment shows. I want to let my friends know what they missed. My explanations are not at all close to the real thing. Pictures would allow me to show and expound on.
I could not be more pleased with the cabin with the exception of more power outlets.
The beach had a tropical breeze that was enjoyable. The beach chairs were plentiful and comfortable. The food was great.
