Had a great Easter trip on this cruise.

We traveled by taxi from Jacksonville airport to Jax port for $35. It was very easy transportation . As suite guests the express embarkation was a breeze. As always, the sail away party was great! We upgraded to the Grand suite a couple days before the trip. This room afforded us with a wonderful walk in closet , much larger balcony , bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub and plenty of corner toiletries storage space. Unfortunately only getting the room serviced once a day, the rollaway bed was left in the middle of the floor right in front of the couch . As a result we never really utilized the living and couch area. Not sure if we had requested the room steward in the morning instead of in the evening if it would've made a difference .

Food was average. We enjoyed the appetizers more than the main courses . Our waiters were amazing and gave excellent service every evening .

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

This was our first grand suite and the extra space, walk in closet and larger bathroom were wonderful! However, only having once a day housekeeping was a definite disappointment. The rollaway bed , set up next to the couch took away most of the extra floor space we were initially excited about.

The room is centrally located near the elevators.

The bigger balcony was a big perk (3 seats and a small table) my daughter and I spent a lot of time enjoying it. We also enjoyed watching the passengers that were late arriving back to the ship in Nassau!

Port Reviews

Freeport

Since we have been to Grand Bahama a few times in the past , we took a cab to our Lacaya to enjoy the marketplace and resort across the street. We were very unsettled and disappointed to see that affects the hurricane had had on this beautiful island . Many bars and restaurants were closed as well as a big portion of the resort . We're not sure if this was due to it being Good Friday or because of the state of the island . We had originally planned to buy a day pass for the resorts pools and beach, but instead opted to walk onto the free beach by the police stand and took a walk on the shoreline. My daughter got a couple braids done at the marketplace and we headed back to the ship .
