Having traveled many cruises every time we get on a ship it is just another disappointment...things are not like they used to be. My disappointment was the Menu in the Main dining room. Since when does Meat Loaf, Chicken Pot Pie, qualify as 'fine dining'? I thought the staff went the extra mile, and did their best to make up for all that was lacking. The ship is going to Dry Dock in December, and it needs refurbished...so hopefully complaints regarding the 'condition of the ship', will be improved after then.
I think their productions were greatly improved from the past years...and that was nice to see. I loved how the Captain who boarded the ship in Vancouver April 11, mingled with the guests, and continued to thank his Crew...I felt a real sense that he appreciated all they did to make it 'easier for him', AND to provide the guest with a good cruise.
But cruising as a whole is simply not as it used to be...but it is wonderful to be on the water, and have everything taken care for you. So I will likely continuing cruising...it just seems when they improve one area, then the other area goes down...it just doesn't seem that they can get it all right, and with the profits the management is making...the cruises should be much better.
It was a cabin...needing to be refurbished.
Due to the fact it was overnight...it was a good port of call. But the long walk from the ship onto the street is a real hardship for Seniors, and the Disabled...there must be a 'better way'.
