We booked this cruise as seeing the ads for the new Majestic Princess it looked spectacular, and who wouldn't want to be one of the first to try it.

For me it just didn't have any wow factor. The atrium was nice but that's it, no thinking this is fabulous. We like to spend our evenings having a few drinks in bars but there are only 3 on Majestic with very Iimited seating, this I was told was because the Chinese don't drink much Alcohol and as the Majestic is going to Shanghai soon it's set up for the Chinese market. The entertainment in the bars was very good but unless you got there very early you had to stand.

The next big complaint was the food, it was just awful. It didn't matter where we ate it was Luke warm with no variety. Bland, cold food for 7 days was just awful.

Cabin Review

Cabin ?

Great cabin, it's a obstructed view but nothing in front of the balcony. I did expect a life boat to obstruct the view but that wasn't the case. You couldn't see either side but it was ok.

Port Reviews

Florence (Livorno)

Florence and Pisa on your own.

Princess transport to Pisa for an hour look around then onto Florence for 4 hours on our own.

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

Did our own thing, very easy to walk around and see the sights.

Toulon

Stayed in the port of Toulon.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a lovely port and very easy to do on your own.

Valencia

Again did our own thing. We took the free shuttle from the ship to the port gates then got the local bus into Valencia for €1.50 each way. Much cheaper than the $16 princess wanted. Lovely old town.
