We had a fantastic time on the beautiful Norwegian Jade which had just come out of refurbishment before our cruise. We had a couple negatives but I still gave it 5 stars because overall it was an excellent vacation.

Here are the negatives. The water slides were not reinstalled and my boys were very disappointed. The slides were one of the reasons we picked this ship. Everyone quickly got over this, though. We had terrible service at Cagneys, but the food was amazing. The manager actually contacted us and invited us back as her guest to retry the restaurant and this time the service matched the awesome food. We did not even expect anything to be done for the had experience, so this was way above and beyond to us. Disembarking was truly terrible. So bad, in fact, that at the beginning we were 100% going to be cruising again and by the end we were questioning if it was worth it to have to deal with such a long process. It took us about 2 hours to disembark. One of the customs agents told us that this was very rare.

Now for the AWESOME! The ship is beautiful.....every single space we saw. Everything is super clean. We loved our mini-suite for our family of 4. It was just the right amount of space for us and not too cramped. Read more
