  3. Celebrity Millennium
This cruise was chosen for the itinerary. Never cruised with Celebrity before. Cabin and balcony good size and our steward was very attentive. Little use made of balcony due to cold weather. Blu restaurant provided good quality food and service and was our main eating experience. Only criticism is that the breakfast choice never varied during the two weeks. The main reason for going, i.e the three day trip to Beijing, was excellent. However, we found the ship generally very cold. The A/C did not seem to work properly on our deck. Ocean Café food was generally not hot enough and choices very 'samey' Also found the counter staff to be surly on occasion. Ship was very noisy...few quiet places; library not big enough. Staff always seemed to be clashing machinery or kitchen equipment. Overall the ship felt a bit tired and dated. The shorter daily excursions were not good value for money and several tour guides not informative enough. We had a problem with Guest Relations who were convinced we were 'back-to-back cruisers' and were very assertive in this opinion even though I provided documentation to prove that after the cruise we were staying independently in Hong Kong and flying home after three days. They apologised when it transpired that we had been confused with another couple, with the same surname, who were apparently on a different ship!

Overall probably our most disappointing cruise.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class
Cabin A2
Good location on Deck 9. Good sized cabin and balcony and steward provided a good service. The A/C/heating system did not work initially and we were very cold. However, Steward did get someone to get some extra heat into the system. Seemed to be a general problem.
