Sail Date: Jan 2017
Cabin: Mid-Ship Inside

This was my second time cruising on Norwegian Sky, my husband's first. Overall, the experience was excellent. I have sailed with three different cruise lines, three times with NCL and they are overall the best value for the dollar. The best part about sailing on NCL Sky this time around was the inclusive beverage package! It was wonderful eating & drinking to our hearts' desire all week without worrying about our tab. The food in the main dining rooms, specialty restaurants, and buffet was excellent. The size of the ship is perfect; not too overwhelming or crowded. The excursions we went on were affordable and fun. I rated a very good instead of excellent because compared to other NCL ships, Sky is lacking in entertainment. However, NCL's service shines; Every time I have cruised with them I have felt that staff truly enjoys their job and wants the customer to have an amazing experience. I would absolutely sail again!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

The cabin was comfortable and our stewardess kept it perfect the entire vacation. We cruise to experience the ports and ship, not to stay in our cabin so mid-ship inside is the perfect size and value for us.

Port Reviews

Miami

Embarkation and Disembarkation were easy. The port is conveniently located to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports, and ground transportation from the airport to the port was easy and affordable. We stayed in Miami for three days after the conclusion of the cruise and it was amazing! Unmatched food, cultural activities, and nightlife! We will definitely be back (probably before or after another cruise!)

Freeport

Freeport was our least favorite day. I have been before and didn't like it much, but in light of the damage from Hurricane Matthew there was even less to do, and even more eyesores on the island. We had an excursion booked for this day but it was cancelled due to stormy weather offshore. I wish we had been able to go on the excursion; we ended up shopping in the duty-free market and the entire time I felt uncomfortable as we were followed by multiple locals and harassed to buy items in the straw market you are forced to walk through in order to get to the shops. I wish there was more to do in Freeport, but your only options are shopping or sub-par beaches unless you book an excursion.

Great Stirrup Cay

Beautiful, clean, relaxing and fun. Beach chairs are plentiful, even in shaded areas.
