Embarkation was awkward. Ship staff seemed confused, sent us to the wrong line to check in, when we asked why there wasn't a line for the Penthouse suite they apologized, sent us to the suite line where we were told we were in the wrong line. We pointed to the sign that said Havens and Penthouse suites we were told that the sign was wrong. After some discussion with another member of the staff they decided to help us. We were then directed to the concierge and were taken aboard with the suite group.

The staterooms were not ready until 2 PM. Our luggage, which was tagged "priority" did not arrive until 4:30 PM. I believe we were the last to get our luggage, even the inside cabins had there luggage long before we did. When we inquired with our "butler" who showed up shortly after our luggage arrived we were advised that the "priority" tag didn't mean anything except for disembarking. So far this cruise was not going so well. We have been to these ports many times so we did not get off at any of the ports. We instead planned to enjoy the ship. Touring the ship I must say did show that it is meticulously taken care of; very very clean and well maintained. I somehow had the impression that this was the first time for many of the crew. The life boat drill station for us was in the theatre and when entering we were directed to the section for our group, I wondered why no one took our names to show we were there and was told it was not necessary. On the way out I found the first fellow we had passed who told us where to go and gave him our names. He had the checklist all along. No one informed us where the suite section was in the theatre but we found out by accident. Our butler never informed us about DVD movies that she could deliver on request. Servers in many Lounge areas were few and far between. WiFi service was poor, unable to connect to my email server and no one had an answer to the problem. I have been on many cruises and this has never happened before. Cagney's restaurant was top notch and dining overall was excellent.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SE

Be aware that this forward Penthouse suite is limited. The balcony is only available when the ship is in port and at night the window curtains must be drawn to prevent light from interfering with the bridge which is right above. The bathroom is very small and can be difficult to negotiate; The clothes closet is adequate but bureau storage is greatly limited.
