Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

We just returned from a Spring Break Cruise on the Breakaway with our three kids (ages 9, 15, and 17). This was our first cruise on NCL and first out of NYC:

- Embarkation was mediocre. Positives: The Pier is easily accessible from the West Side Highway and drop off was quick. I hired Luxe valet service to take my car, and they did a great job. Negatives: It took about 75 minutes from when we arrived curbside to get on the ship and both the Port and NCL have poor processes. Luggage drop off line was 30 minutes for no good reason, and I was at the check in desk for about 20 minutes because the agent couldn't get my credit card to process.

- Cabin was excellent (see details below)

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

The cabin was quite large and comfortable for 2 people. Very well designed with great storage space including a very large closet. Some feel the balconies on Breakaway are small; I thought ours was just fine for 2 people.

The bathroom was an A+. Huge shower with terrific shower head and even horizontal jets! Double vanity an added bonus

Only negatives in the cabin: TV was just ok; wanted a couple more channels like ESPN. Also the cabin walls are pretty thin. Kids watched a movie next door and I could hear every word.
