We chose this cruise because it sailed out of Orlando (or what we though was Orlando). We had to drive from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to drop our kids off and wanted to travel to the closest port so that we wouldn't have to drive too much farther from Atlanta. We rented a car and dropped it off at the Orlando airport and then had to catch a cab almost an hour away to Port Canaveral.

We arrived for a late check-in which went very smoothly. This was my second cruise the first was taken almost 5 years ago and I cruised on Carnival Magic. I was very disappointed with the appearance of the "newly remodeled" ship. We had a balcony and everywhere we looked on the outside of the boat was rusty. Also I was used to a larger ship so I was disappointed to learn that there were no clubs on board for adults. The dining experience was terrible!. The breakfast was not good in the lido at all the bacon was greasy and not done enough and the eggs were bland and watery. My boyfriend went to the Blue Iguana for a breakfast burrito and he got a chicken burrito with bone all it in. (This turned him away from eating there all week and that's his favorite food). I was also disappointed to see that there is no more lobster tail night in the main dining room (There is now a $20 surcharge for lobster and some other items). The service was outstanding as expected.

I did not really participate in many activities as we relaxed on our balcony for the majority of the trip.

Cabin 8E

The cabin was so-so. The bed had two separate mattresses one was harder than the other and one was raised.
