We booked a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas for our girls spring break. We spent a day in Daytona Beach before cruising and were on the ship by 11 am the day of sailing. The food was absolutely wonderful and you couldn't ask for better staff. We absolutely loved our main waiter, Augusto and assistant waiter, Zhou. I seriously can't say enough good things about the staff in our dining room, they were absolutely wonderful!! We had a total of 6 people go and occupied 3 rooms. The only thing I can say negative about the entire trip was I could feel the springs in my bed. I didn't say anything about it to housekeeping though and I'm sure they would have changed out the bed had I asked. Our daughters room had a strong odor, but housekeeping changed the shower curtain immediately and it took care of the odor in the bathroom. We noticed a strong odor throughout the hallway pretty much everyday that smelled like sewage, but the smell never went into our rooms so we weren't bothered by it. We loved the couple game show they did and I can't remember the last time we all laughed so hard. I wish we could have spent more time in Nassau because that day flew by. The cabin rooms are small, but I've cruised before and it's exactly what I had expected it to be. We are now looking to book another cruise on the newest and biggest ship, Harmony of the Seas and we are really looking forward to it. We did experience some pretty rough water and that really affected some of us, which is why we are looking to book on the bigger ship because I know that makes you feel the rough waters less.

The rooms were dated and small and my bed was very uncomfortable, but that wouldn't stop me from going again. Our housekeeper did an excellent job with our room and made different displays on our beds in all the rooms every night.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

It was a bit of a mess getting on the ship. We didn't know to take swimsuits with us because it would be hours until we actually got our bags. When we finally did get our bags 2 of them were damaged and ripped and they even managed to break a bottle of finger nail polish in a third bag that then got on items. Multiple hangers were broken in our garment bags when then caused our dresses to be crumpled in the bottom which then caused them to be extremely wrinkled. That made us learn our lesson and when we departed the ship we took our bags with us instead of having them unload them. When we got off the ship we were told that if we had a porter take our luggage out that we would be out in under 15 minutes but if we did it ourselves it would take over an hour. So we opted to have them put out luggage on a luggage cart for the faster process, a tip is much better than waiting an hour, but we ended up waiting an hour and people that got in the regular line after we got in our line actually got out faster. Also, it was a RC person that told us to use the luggage people not someone just looking for more tips.

Nassau

We loved the Straw Market and just walked to a local beach which was great. I just wish we could have had more time on this island because we felt rushed between trying to shop and go to the beach. We would have loved to had more time at the stores and the beach. It was also really nice that they had a wonderful lunch still being served in the Windjammer when we got back onto the ship.
