I chose this cruise because it leaves out of New York, I live near Philadelphia. This ship has all the amenities that other cruises have, but I really liked the Freestyle aspect of dining. My teens did not take advantage of the teen activities, so I cannot comment on those. But it did seem like there were a lot of activities to keep children and teens busy.

I would definitely cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway again. The crew was great and it was not uncommon to see the senior crew members walking around. The shows "Burn the Floor" and "Rock of Ages" were both excellent. Don't miss the dueling pianos either. Those three have a great chemistry and can play pretty much any song requested, except Nickleback. There was a great variety of restaurants and bars to accommodate all tastes. Be sure to get the Ultimate Drink Package if you plan on drinking beer and booze. I'd say my only complaint was both pools, the adult and children, weren't as big as I would have liked. But I guess when you have a water park and ropes course to fit on the ship something has to give. I highly recommend this ship.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

The cabin fit my wife, two teens, and I well. One bed drops down from the ceiling and there is a small ladder provided to get into it. The other bed is the couch that transforms into a bed. The king size bed was simply two beds pushed together, but I didn't have any issues sleeping in it. The balcony nicely fit two chairs and a small table. The bathroom was a fairly large and the shower easily fits two adults(wink, wink). We were able to get all our luggage under the king size bed. If you put some though into it, there is plenty of storage space. We used collapsible totes on the top shelf of the closet for socks and underwear. Our room steward, Putu, was awesome.
