We got back last night after an ugly day spent flying home from Barcelona, 3 separate flights, over 24 hours alternatively flying or sitting in airports, an unfortunately distasteful end to a great vacation! Epic's crew should be collectively given an MVP award, never anything but smiling helpfullness and unswerving dedication to excellence! The Captain and Hotel Manager should be recognized for training and maintaining a consistent environment that ensures value for one's vacation dollar. Perhaps it's why we've cruised more with NCL than any other cruise line (this was our 25th cruise). While I'm not overwhelmingly impressed with Epic as a ship (there are reasons she's "one of a kind" and not all of them good, at least in my opinion) I couldn't help but being impressed by her crew and the level of service they provided. The entertainment was top notch (my personal favorite was Grafitti Classics!) and enjoyed the comedians as well as the musicians and dancers. The Epic Beatles were fantastic, though I think with a show as popular as this, a larger venue than the "intimately sized" Cavern Club should be considered, simply too small for the popularity of the show. Food was top of the ticket as well, everything well prepared and tasty, whether in the Garden Cafe, the main dining rooms, or the specialty restaurants. Again, Epic isn't nor will it be my favorite ship, but I'd sail with her crew everytime were it possible, they were the true "stars" of NCL's show.
5 STARS!!!!
Great shower, a little short on adequate lighting, but wife and I were otherwise completely satisfied with it as a home for 2 weeks. Plenty of storage, and Vanessa our cabin attendant took excellent care of us!
No tour, just walked around the Dockyard, then took the ferry to Hamilton, explored some on our own, then took the bus back, so we were able to gain a different perspective of the port as a whole.
