We chose the Harmony after cruising two years ago on the Quantum of the Seas. This ship has many of the same features as the Quantum (robotic bar, WOW bands) but also has many other benefits (ice skating, aqua theater, water slides, neighborhoods, etc.). You really could do zero excursions and still have plenty to do.

We are not big cruisers. Only second cruise we have ever gone on. Have two kids (10 and 14) who absolutely love cruising Royal Caribbean. I'll mention a few highlights as well as things I wasn't crazy about, but overall it was fantastic. I don't post things, but after reading dozens of horrible reviews of the Quantum (and almost canceling that trip, even though it turned out to be great also) I wanted to give my own take on these great ships.

Our room was 11-614. Went with family who had room next door which allowed us to connect balconies. That was great. Good room- midship, midway between the two elevator banks. I like being up high and in the middle to avoid motion. We did book over a year in advance, so had our pick as to the room. Slept great every night- no noises, no major rocking. Being on 11 also allowed us to use the stairs sometimes (but only sometimes because we were with elderly family members).

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

Room was great. Mid ship. Beds were comfortable. Enough outlets. Actually purchased and brought with me a multi-charger which has one plug (into outlet) and 7 USB ports. Just used that to charge all devices. Kids loved Dreamworks channel. More variety on it this year. On Quantum two years ago we watched Shrek about 10 times. Our bed was closer to door which is better than when bed is closer to balcony. My in laws had that room and it was a little more difficult to navigate the sliding door. Had a couple of bottles of water and soda delivered to room after we arrived and that worked nice. Not sure above cabin category I chose above...
