Guess we must be bored with Carnival because our cruise on the Elation was not very exciting. Embarkation was a breeze. We were on the ship within 5 minutes of checking in. Our stateroom was ready so we dropped off our luggage. Went to the lido for lunch. Food was good but choices were limited. The lines for the Mongolian barbecue and grill were long so we did not try either.

We preordered wine from Bon Voyage. It was not wrapped as on our previous cruises. We had to call room service for a corkscrew. Our room steward, who was outstanding, brought us his personal corkscrew until room service could deliver one.

Food has suffered probably due to the economy. They did offer a wine package in the dining room much like the one on RCCL. We ordered the premium package. It was well worth the $90. The choices were nice but not as plentiful as RCCL.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12

We had a cat. 12 suite. The bathroom is small but has a tub. The suite had plenty of room for 2 plus a balcony. The balcony was small but nice during sea days for reading as it was completely covered.
