We had a not exactly great experience (Well, to be honest it was awful) on the Scenic Pearl in 2016 and had almost thought of cancelling this cruise. But the two ships and experiences were like Chalk & Cheese. Spirit is only one year old and is immaculate. We had a Grand Deluxe Cabin (#303) which was superb ( A few niggles with the glass toilet door and the lack of long hanging space in an otherwise HUGE dressing room)
The staff - from the guides to the butler to the dining staff and cruise director (Paula) couldn't do enough for you. Indeed that was the major difference with the Scenic Pearl where you thought that they couldn't care less about you. The Spirit staff are excellent.
The food on board was equally good. We particularly like the 11 course tasting menu offered one evening.
We had a Grand Deluxe Cabin (#303) which was superb. V spacious. The bed wasto die for - most comfortable I have slept in. V quiet. We hate AirCon and you could (if you wish) switch it off - a rare feature we have found.
We did have a few niggles with the glass toilet door and glass wall between the WC and shower. Ie you couldn't use the bathroom or shower when your wife was on the loo!
Also the lack of long hanging space in an otherwise HUGE dressing room. The dressing room was v badly designed. But these are minor niggles.
