We chose this cruise to see the Fiordland National Park 'The Sounds' in New Zealand. What an amazing cruise this was. The Sounds were spectacular as was the beautiful ship the Celebrity Solstice. From the moment we went onboard everything about this ship was amazing. It certainly was 5 star luxury. The stateroom we chose was 7163 with a balcony and it did not dissapoint. There was plenty of room for two people, lots of storage, and a lovely bathroom. The room was very quiet and positioned mid ship. We were looked after very well by Rudi our lovely stateroom attendant who was always happy, smiling and friendly.

Our room was modern and exceptionally clean. We chose to dine in the main dining room each night and we found the service and the food to be really nice. For breakfast and lunch we mainly went to the Oceanview Cafe where the choice of food was overwhelming but also really nice. We chose to do our own thing at the different ports and found there was plenty of time to see what we wanted to before returning to the ship. We were very lucky to have great weather. The ship is amazing and there were many lovely places to sit and relax. My favourite spot was the Cafe al Bacio where the coffee was really good. The crew on this ship are so professional and friendly and go out of their way to make sure every experience is a good one. We really loved this ship and would definitely sail on her again.

Cabin 2A

Beautifully appointed cabin with verandah. Plenty of room and storage for two people. Immaculately maintained. Lovely bathroom with really nice shower.

Port Reviews

Dunedin

Shuttle took us into town where we went to the beautiful station, Cafnury factory and wandered around the town.

Wellington

Loved Wellington, did the cable car trip up Mt Victoria and went to the museum on the waterfront.

Picton

This was our favourite port of call. Very pretty town .
