We took the cruise to Airlie Beach (1st since Cyclone Debbie) to have a short break from caring for our Grandchildren, we did a cruise with them and their parents at Christmas 2016 and decided we need to do a short cruise with just the two of us so we could relax.
Our only plan for the cruise was to chill out totally and eat when we felt like it.
We loved the theme work for each of the lifts throughout the ship, it makes them more inviting than a mirror or a blank wall.
The cabin we were in was lovely with the exception of the mattress, whoever purchased these mattresses should be tied to one for a week to appreciate how it really feels, sleeping on the floor would have been just as comfortable. A 2 inch memory foam topper would have made all the difference. We are not the first nor the only ones on our cruise and certainly will not be the last to complain as to how hard the mattresses are.
At odd times we had to open the balcony door and the cabin door at the same time to get some relief in the room, as the A/C didn't seem to be doing the job despite being set to it's coldest setting.
The balcony is very narrow and takes a bit of maneuvering of the tables and chairs to be comfortable out there.
There was plenty of drawer space and hanging space plus a small room safe for your valuables.
The shower room/toilet is big enough for one person at a time with very hot water on tap, only problem is the room steams up and if you leave the door open the cabin steams up too.
