Just got home from an amazing experience on the Carnival Liberty! Myself and another teacher from my school decided to get out of dodge for spring break. From the airport transfer driver to the time we made it on to the ship, every Carnival employee had a smile on their face. The embarkation process really took 45 minutes or so, everything there was just such a well oiled machine. Once on the ship, we quickly had a drink in our hands and had many different photo opportunities. This was a spring break trip for two teachers so we were VERY excited to get away from the lesson planning and spend some time in the sun. We stayed on the tenth floor in a balcony room, which I can't recommend enough! Having a balcony is an amazing experience because you do not have to fight for a spot on the Lido deck where you are pulling into or leaving a port. Our cabin was tended to by Anak, who greeted us by our name every single time we passed him in the hallway. Our dining staff at dinner also all knew our names and our drink orders as soon as we sat down each night.
The first port of Freeport was nice but it was obvious they were hit hard by the hurricane in October, however we did a jeep tour so it is possible we saw more of the devastation than most. The Jeep tour was an excursion booked through Carnival and it was an awesome experience! Driving around the island with a tour guide leading the way to see all the beautiful tropic sites was the way to explore!
In Nassau we did the bar hopping tour, also booked through Carnival and it was the highlight of the trip! We had an awesome tour guide named Arthur who really made us feel like locals as he took us around to the different stops on the tour. He also was very engaging and knowledgable about the Bahamas in general so he was answering all the questions people had.
Outstanding! Each day it was cleaned in the morning so by the time we got back to take our afternoon nap the beds were already made!
