We have travelled all over the world with Princess since the 1970's and have had some wonderful cruises with them. We, as Elite members, are now very disillusioned and disappointed with the attitude of the captain, senior officers and senior staff. Very Sans Souci attitude---we have your money so who cares!!!! The embarkation in Buenos Aires was a disaster---very few knowledgeable staff to show you where to go and to top it off most spoke only Spanish. I don't expect everyone in Argentina to speak English but I would expect that, with 90% English speaking guests arriving, Princess would have employed a large number of bilingual personnel. The shore excursion staff were absolutely useless--when we would get off at the different ports there was no one there to direct you which way to go to the busses. The food at the buffet was the same menu day after day and the food in the dining room was definitely not up to Princess standards to say the least. Usually, on previous cruises, the Table Captain would come around and make different kinds of Pasta etc.----not even once. No cherries jubilee or anything a little special for dessert. Very disappointing. After we returned, I wrote a letter to customer relations. I received a phone call---so sorry, we'd like to offer you a free meal at one of our specialty restaurants on your next cruise but, it expires in 2018. Whoopi doo!!! Don't think we'll be using it. After 30 plus cruises with Princess this is the way they treat their Elite passengers. Oceania if far far superior in all respects.
