We are very happy with our choice to cruise as a family on the Dawn. We had 3 kids - 16, 9, 6 and there really was activities catered to all three age groups.
Highlights:
Interconnecting Oceanview rooms were great and gave us more than enough space.
Food was pretty good - a bit hit and miss at Waterfront restaurant but the kids loved The Pantry and the adults loved Salt.
Kids Club - My kids loved it and couldn't wait to go back each day.
Service - Most crew members were great but a few lacked any enthusiasm or joy (particularly our waitress each night in the Waterfront).
Entertainment - Great selection of things to do and we really enjoyed the quality of the performers and shows. So great how the parties are held earlier for "family time" too so all can join in the dress up and theme nights.
Negatives:
Waiting 1 hour in a line on the first day to make a booking for The Waterfront restaurant.
Linen needs replacing - towels were grey and the sheets and pillowcases had bad pilling.
P & O Edge - Some of the activities should be free.....e.g. slackline surfing which sounds great but is a real let down. The booking in process is also pretty clunky.
Interconnecting cabins that were great for our family of 5. Only complaint is the sound of furniture being dragged late at night and at the crack of dawn. I presume this is the crew packing up and then setting up on the Oasis deck above.
