I went on this cruise with my sister over spring break. We have both cruised RC previously. My last RC cruise (Adventure of the Seas-2011) was not up to par, and I have spoken to cruise friends who said their experiences were lacking also. So I was a bit hesitant, but the timing was right and we decided to go for it and hope for the best.

We flew into Tampa the night before to save money on airfare. We arrived at the port at about 11am. Needless to say, we walked right up to an agent and were on the ship in no time. We had lunch at the Windjammer, found some chairs in the sun, and let the relaxation begin.

I will say right off the bat that my only major complaint was the sewer smell in the bathroom. We encountered this on Adventure of the Seas, and when I mentioned it immediately to our cabin steward then, he assured me that once we set sail, the smell would disappear. He was right, no problems. So when we entered our cabin 4500 (chosen for us on a buy one get one cabin promotion), the foul smell was disappointing, but I assumed it would dissipate once we departed. No such luck. Leaving a note for an air freshener didn't help (against the rules possibly?), and we could not find any kind of air freshener on board or in either of our 2 port stops. They joke about their picky sewer system - "If you don't eat it, it doesn't go in the toilet"- but they really need to actually do something about it. It was pretty disgusting.

Cabin H

Really smelly bathroom the entire trip. Very unsatisfactory. Ship was full, so no upgrades. No air freshener available. Quite disgusting.
