I chose this cruise because we are avid Royal Caribbean / Celebrity cruisers. The Jewel of the Seas was the best option for a Southern Caribbean Cruise when compared with other cruise companies.
Our family of 33 arrived a full day ahead of the cruise departure and we explored Old San Juan (try the public transport...we packed 33 of us into a local public van which was an adventure and cost a cheap $1.50).
Checking into the ship as a group went very well and very quickly!
Cabin Review
Large Ocean View Stateroom
A very nice cabin. Very clean. Ample room for storage for a short cruise. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding was crisp! First time in an oceanview instead of a balcony and it was very nice. Very large window!
Port Reviews
San Juan
Old San Juan is a must for exploring in Puerto Rico. The public bus is cheap ($1.50) and easy to use when staying near the Port.
St. Croix
Was a little disappointed with St-Croix. Was expecting more exotic and tourist developed.
St. Maarten
Love, love, love this port. The port is beautiful! The island people are very friendly. Water taxis, taxis and even public transport are user friendly and reasonably priced. Maho beach is alot of fun to go to. Would keep going back to this port.
Grenada
Beautiful port, took the water taxi to the beach with a number of our family members. Beautiful port, would definitely go back.
