In fairness, I should say that this is the first time we've been on a cruise and I don't think cruising is for us. Having said that, this was pretty terrible by any standards. On the whole the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient: that ends the good bit. The bad stuff is 1. the boat was tired and faded and the bedrooms were not clean 2. the food was reasonably plentiful - lots of self-serve outlets - so you aren't going to go hungry but the quality was average at best 3. queues for everything. As someone said it should have been called a queue ship not a cruise ship (It sort of works, maybe, if you say it out loud) 4. the one organised excursion we went on was embarrassing - an idyllic Vietnamese beach turned out to be located in the middle of a half-built sub-Disney theme park 5. we were constantly being sold stuff like drinks packages, restaurant upgrades, cheap watch and jewellery promotions, photographs "to remember your wonderful cruise experience by". It got tedious. We didn't pay a lot for our trip so we should have been warned that the quality wouldn't be great and that the company would try to make money in other ways but, come on, I know you're an American company, but a service charge of 18% on absolutely everything is a bit steep

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Tired. Bathroom and bedroom were like a 1970's caravan. Not clean. On arrival, people all up and down our corridor were complaining about the state of their rooms.
