The ship is large and has all the amenities and plenty of activities to entertain oneself. The excursions that we took were wonderful as well. However, though my wife bought a drink package, I did not and even though they religiously levied the daily gratuity for both, I was extremely annoyed to find that they levied a "service charge" of 18% on drinks that I purchased. The drink of the day was always listed as $9.50 but with the service charge was over $11. In addition to assessed gratuities, my wife and I gave nearly $200 in direct cash to those that served us well. I firmly believe in good gratuity for good service, but a add on service charge that has no relationship to the quality of service just tickss me off. I booked our next 2 cruises on Norwegian (drinks are included) and may never again cruise on Royal Caribbean .
Roomy with plenty of storage space. Our cabin steward Clement was outstanding. Had breakfast on the balcony several days and was pleased to see that the divider between balconies and be opened by staff if you choose and know the occupants of the adjoining cabin.
Had a great lunch at Panchos Backyard, always enjoyable.
Chops specialty eatery was good as always. In addition to a dinner, we also had lunch there one day. It was $18 and I had a great hamburger with grilled onions that were the best I've ever had. Not cheap, but a good experience.
The excursion to Roatan Honduras Gumblimba Preserve was an absolute delight! Our guide was superb and the encounters with capuchin monkeys and tropical birds was wonderful. Never seen so many iguanas in all sizes and several colors as well.
