We have been on many cruises in the past. Disney, Royal Caribbean, Princess. This was our first Carnival. We were travelling with a 12 teens so we thought that Carnival would be the best fit. We were pretty disappointed with our choice. It felt like they have never done this before. The processes in place were just broken and there was not enough crew to offer the service that you should expect.

Leaving the boat the last day was as painful as I have ever experienced. They started calling people off at 7:30. We were carrying our own luggage and were not able to leave the boat until after 10:00. The whole week it seemed that they were shocked by the amount of people on board.

Getting a drink was very difficult. Half the bars were closed and the ones that were open you had to wait 30 minutes. Soda came from cans rather than a fountain so kids had to wait in the bar line to get a drink. This slowed down the process for everyone. Dining room service and food was awful. The specialty restaurants on the other hand were spectacular.

The cabin was nice. Plenty of storage. Bathrooms in all the rooms smelled awful. The beds and pillows were fair. Not terribly comfortable but not awful.
