Traveled with children

Our family sailed on Harmony for spring break in 2 cabins. Our children are 16 and 7. We have gone on several cruises and also sailed with Norwegian and Carnival, although Royal Caribbean has been our line of choice in the past. The ship is amazing. It is modern and kept very clean. The fitness center is huge and the jogging track is nice (almost .5 mile). There are countless options of things to do, but be weary of the crowds on sea days. Our cabins were spacious and our stateroom attendant was amazing. Embarkation was fast and easy.

We ate in the dining room 5 of the 7 nights. There are many dining options, but some of the specialties are pricey. We ate at Sabor (mexican) for a lunch and a dinner. Food was good both times but service was very slow. Our dining room waiter was great. He was the highlight of the dining room experience. The food was mediocre. We have had better on other lines recently. It did not help that a salad was served to us with a large fly in it. Staff did try to make up for it with some goodies sent to the room, but sent them to the wrong room. This is where I will express disappointment in service. The crew was not friendly. Do not expect any "wows" from staff other than your stateroom attendant or dining room waiter. We thought someone would follow up after the fly in the food, but they did not.

The shows were good, but make sure you have reservations. My suggestion would be to make reservations as soon as you are able to online before departure. If not, you are waiting in line until 10 minutes before the show starts. Comedy was good, but only one comedian for the week. Adventure Ocean was fun for the younger one. Lots of activities going on for kids. The Royal IQ app and the wow bands were a nice plus on the Harmony.
