We had a lovely 11 night cruise to the Pacific Islands on the Jewel. We were on deck 9 midship and our cabin staff were excellent. They were very friendly, efficient on not at all intrusive. My husband had a small scratch on his arm which left a mark on the sheets and without even mentioning it the cabin crew they changed the sheets on the bed. The shows were very good, an excellent variety, magician, comedian, singers and a very good show by the staff. The food was ok....nothing over the top but certainly palatable and quite a good variety. The Pantry concept in my opinion is a great idea as far as hygiene is concerned. If your serving is not enough you only have to ask for a bit more and it is happily given to you. Staff in the Waterfront Restaurant were very nice and again the food was ok. We have been on several cruise lines including Royal Carribean, Norwegian , Holland America and P&O.......would we sail with P&O again? Yes, but always remember you get what you pay for. If you want Cunard service then put your hand in your pocket and pay for Cunard !!!'
Cabin was roomy and always clean. Fresh towels etc every day. The shower was large compared to other ships we have been on and the water pressure was great.
