This was our very first cruise experience and were more than a little upset with the fact that we were not informed the ship we were taking was being used as a Spring break cruise for over 1200 college students. They were rude, loud, used excessive vulgar language, reserved all of the outdoor seating, made it impossible to get a drink from the bar, and there was nothing that the employees of the ship could do to stop them.

We observed on many occasions that they were using each others SeaPass cards to obtain alcoholic drinks that only certain people had purchased the drinking plan on, so by the end of the 4th day of the trip, the drinks were watered down due to lack of ingredients. We also paid for the Refreshment package, and on the second to last day, the soda machines were nearly empty of all types of sodas. So even though we paid extra for this unlimited package, we were not able to enjoy it the entire time due to the drinks being gone. We were often unable to get a seat in the hot tub whirlpools on the deck, because they were usually filled with upwards of 15 or more college students.

Many times, we were forced to stay in our stateroom because there was not any room for us on the upper deck, and even then, we could still hear their loud antics with some of them yelling and screaming a few floors down from our balcony making it impossible to find a relaxing place where we could enjoy our trip. This even occurred late into the night when we were trying to sleep. These students were running up and down the hallways, knocking on doors during the night, and some were even spitting on our stateroom door. From yelling their school chants during the muster drill to where we could not hear any of the safety instructions to reserving all of the seats by the pool for people who were not even awake yet, every minute on the ship with them made us feel more and more that a Royal Caribbean cruise was not something we would ever do again nor would we advise our friends to do either.
