My bag with my medications and CPAP were lost for the first 24 hours of the cruise. Seriously, if you take life-saving medications or depend on a CPAP machine, carry them on board. My CPAP had been misidentified as a "blender" and for some unknown reason, apparently blenders are not allowed on board, so Security was holding my bag and I did not receive it until Customer Service launched an all out search.
From previous cruises on Royal Caribbean, I think the Dining Room food is definitely on the decline. We ended up relying on the Windjammer and other dining facilities on the ship rather than have inferior entrees in the dining room. The play, Cats was about two hours too long. They took a 15 minute break and most of the audience left during the break. The Elvis impersonator in the Headline show was fantastic. The comedians were great but the Comedy Club has an "after thought feeling about it... 64 or so chairs lined up and no ambiance at all.
The Sorrento was as great as always for a quick snack and so was the Deck 15 cafe was great, as was the Cafe on Central Park. The rooms were good and of course, the cleanliness fantastic. We had a suite overlooking Central Park and we loved it. Don't get me wrong, RC does a great job compared to other cruise lines. Maybe it is just me but I feel the dining room experience was less than it use to be..the food was just average and the choices poor.
Cabin was excellent. Water pressure and hot water in the showers was great. TV was terrible...HLN ran the exact same story every night. Folks, there are satellites that are there to help you stay informed when traveling. Since you charge an arm and a leg for internet services, you might at least allow more access to good TV. Beds were not bad at all. Couch was almost unusable except to put things on..very uncomfortable.
