Sail Date: Apr 2017

We only booked this short cruise break a few weeks ago. It was a very good price and the guaranteed balcony cabin, although near the elevators, was actually very quiet. The passengers seemed to be in high spirits with most expecting to have a great time, and this mood was infectious, so it was with a happy ambience that we set sail. The Jewel is a grand old lady, and some parts of her décor show this, however, I felt like I was on a ship when I boarded her and she smelt like a ship. Other people may not like that, but I do. The crew overall do their level best to keep the passengers happy. The food was reasonably good. I heard no complaints from any passengers, anywhere, anytime. The entertainment was okay. All in all, for the price.. accommodation, meals, entertainment, nowhere in Australia, could one get such a good deal for a weekend getaway

Cabin Review

Cabin BD

Next to the forward stairs and elevators, but unbelievably quiet for that area. Very clean, nice little balcony. It was a guaranteed cabin, but If given the choice again, I would choose it over other cabins.
