Cabin: Inside Stateroom 10

The cost to travel on this ship has been relatively high in comparison to other ships. When we seen it at a bargain, we grabbed the deal

Overall we found service to be high particularly in the buffet where staff dealt very effectively with my wife's dietry needs. The food in the main dining room was good quality and so was the service but on a couple of occasions the tempreture of the food wasnt at the right tempreture. With all respect to the staff serving us, they were dealing with a table of 10 and three with diet restrictions.

Our cabin was well appointed and our cabin stewardess was exceptional and got an envelope at the end of the cruise.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom 10

Cabin 10

This was a disabled access cabin which we were allocated. For a person/s with a disability it would give you tremendous accessibility both in the cabin and bathroom. It is well fitted out with emergency buttons both at the bed, door and bathroom. It would give a strong sense of security in the event of a unfortunate incident

Port Reviews

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

If this is your first time to the island, take one of the island tours by the locals. It is inexpensive, you will still have time to snorkel around the bay. There is a resort at the end of the beach which charges a small fee to have a sun chair for the day and use their equipment. Nice place to relax

Mystery Island

This is a beautiful place to snorkel or just rekax. Get on one of the local community tours. They are damm cheap and you will never do a ship excursion again at this islands. A 40 minute snorkling excursion will cost about $20 australian . They take out to the edge of the atol and you float back in and see some anazing fish and coral

Noumea

We have been this ole city many times and we were really not considering getting of the boat until this occasion when we started to discover the numea we had not seen.

There are beautiful beaches, scenic outlooks and of course dunk island famous for its reef, coral and fish.

The wonderful thing ahout nuemea is it is so cheap to travel around the island on the local buses. Each trip costs $1.75 australian and for anout $17.50 aud you can travel around this island.

The bus terminal is about four blocks from where the ship shuttle services drop you off. If you buy a prepaid ticket at the bus terminal it is 190 francs, on the bus 220 frances. In australian dollars you save 30 cents per trip buying it at the terminal. At the terminal y ou can get a very good detailed map of the bus routes around the islands.

Comparing the ship prices for a trip to Dunk island, public transportation about $16.50 aud in comparison to ship prices of $90 aud. The buses to the island water taxi service are 10, 11 & 12. $1.75 each way $13 aud dollars for the water taxi
