POA looks like an NCL ship but it didn’t feel like any other cruise.
It really is transportation to the islands & not much more. You have no time to enjoy the ship herself. You go, go, go, nonstop, We ate breakfast on the ship, grabbed some fruit for lunch, filled up our water bottles & came back for a late dinner. Hint: if you plan to make yourself a sandwich for the next day go to the buffet at night, not in the morning. Being Hawaii we were disappointed in the quality of the fresh fruit. The oranges were spectacular; everything else was mediocre.
Our cabin steward offered the same level of hospitality as we are used to on the other voyages but no other staff members came close.
We had a lovely view of the life boat through our floor to ceiling window. This was the old style cruise ship bathroom with the very tiny shower. I like the cabin design on the Gem, Jewel & Dawn better
