We rented a car for 2 days to explore Puerto Rico before our cruise. We split a taxi to/from Cruise ship to airport with another couple in line at taxi que for $30 each way per fare, not per person, and the taxi driver gets there quick. We chose this cruise because it was 10 night Southern Caribbean including Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.

Everything was very good overall. In most ports you can do city tours for about half the price of what the ship charges. We found that the dining in the main dining room was not consistent. We ordered Roasted Garlic Chicken, Chicken Marsala, Pork Chop which wasn't very good. I ordered bread pudding with ice cream for dessert, and the bread was hard like croutons. We did have other dinners including pasta, Lobster, and steak that was very good. We had dinner in Windjammer 2 nights. One was Asian night, and another American fare, both very good. I ordered wireless internet one day at sea for 17.99, and it was equivalent to roadrunner lite. I used the library while on the internet, and they have 2 doors that offer shortcuts to the deck, with too many interruptions people constantly cutting through the library. They had a special for 3 night dining in Chops Grill & Portofino for $75.00 pp. We booked, then changed our mind later that day and had it removed. On the day of departure it took over 30 minutes to have it removed from our bill. Cruise director Elvis was excellent. Housekeeping was excellent. The gym was excellent, lots of equipment for use, and clean. On the promenade deck, they have Cafe Promenade for small sandwiches and desserts. I left feedback with they crew that the choices for dessert never change from day to day. The shows and entertainment in the theater were very good. The ice show was excellent. We have been on Oasis Of The Seas, and find the food quality overall was much better. I've heard that all the cruise ships are cutting back on food, etc, so this may or may not be the case. Several people told me that they were able to book this cruise for $599 per person 6 weeks before departure, as the ship wasn't full. I booked last year for $900 per person through Costco travel with perks, because we have to book it in advance because of our work schedules. Overall we had a good time on the cruise, but we would prefer the bigger Royal Caribbean ships like Oasis Of The Seas in the future.

Cabin Review

Cabin Interior Stateroom

The stateroom is very clean. There is not enough room for bigger suitcases. The only thing I find negative is the small pillows. I'm used to bigger, softer pillows at home, or when I stay at hotels like Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn and Suites, La Quinta, Quality Inn and Suites.
