The food was excellent, the service was wonderful, But Oceania did not get us the two gift cards from our daughter that they assured we would get that day. Despite repeated requests to meet with Damien Lacroix the general manager there was no response for three days. When the secretary finally called Saturday and said he would call me back as soon as he finished with the customer he was with. I waited three hours in my room and no call. No note or anything. Our shower door had ripped door seal. The bathroom smelled like cat urine on and off. When we boarded our bathroom door would no close because the plastic covering the hinge was broken and flapping. It took 3 days before they got it right. The final production show was excellent and the ventriloquist was very good, others were often either too loud, or had bad jokes about religions. Our cabin was a "C" deluxe ocean view which was perfect for a 14 night transatlantic trip. Embarcation was a disaster. I have had better on Carnival, sad to say,. We were in a temporary tent and the power went out and waited almost 2 hours with no food and they ran out of lemonade and had no water. The artist loft was full all they time. Casinos could use some new machines. .We skipped Azores due to weather but went to Funchal instead. It was nice not to be pestered for picture or drinks. Afternoon tea was a delight. Passengers very well traveled. The average age aboard was 70 plus. There were probably five children aboard we only saw at dinner. Canyon Ranch Spa had larger shower with Canyon Ranch good shampoo and conditioner, better than in room. There are 4 heated bed, showers and steam room and sauna for use at no additional charge. Our cabin attendant Maria was wonderful. The beds are marvelous.
