As back ground it has been about 15 years since we have taken an ocean cruise. Our three cruises were with Carnival. The largest ship we have ever sailed on was 70 tons. Since becoming empty nesters 5 years ago we have been blessed to travel several times a year. We have been on luxury class river cruises and 5 star all inclusive resorts. So when two other couples invited us to travel with them on the Oasis it was with trepidation that I agreed to a ship with over 6000 people on it. As the trip drew near I actually found myself dreading it since it was so different from the other types of trips we've been taking. The good news is that it was much better then I expected and we had a wonderful time. I will try to outline the positives below and share a few negatives:

Precruise:

We arrived two days early and stayed at the Homewood Suites that is less then a mile from the port. This was a great motel and great location. They also have a stay & park with included shuttle to the port. I highly recommend this for a pre or post cruise stay.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin OS

Fantastic suite for size of room and balcony. Love the midship location. Great for entertaining friends. Feels more like a condo then a ship cabin. All on one level which is nice compared to comparable size suites on Deck 17. Balcony alone makes this the suite of choice.
