Celebrity sells a consistently good product. With the exception of the food in the buffet the dining was excellent. Toast preparation in the buffet was one glaring shortfall. And unfortunately, many of the foods which needed to be served hot were not even warm.
The design of the buffet also needs to be re-done. You had to do a lap around the different food stations just to see what was available. A map or some other type of guide at the entrance would have been helpful (e.g., a sign with arrows pointing in the direction of which type of food was available in which direction.). In contrast, both the food and service in the dining room at dinner were outstanding. We had great weather. Lima and Cartagena were wonderful stops but Arica and Manta left a good deal to be desired. Dr. Glassner was one of the most interesting and original speakers I have ever heard on a cruise.
Cabin was clean and comfortable. Stateroom attendant was excellent
Our tour guide was the sister of the tour owner of Dora Explorer. She is a local retired teacher and, although we have been to Cartagena before, she provided some additional insight. It was VERY HOT and people on the street followed us everywhere. Our guide asked for our patience in that regard reminding us of how difficult it is for people to make a living and how little money most people have to live on. The old part of town is nice.View All 367 City Tour Reviews
