Chose it because it sailed Sunday to Sunday. This ship is designed well with most of the cabins on one end and entertainment towards the front.
Our cabin was on the 9th deck, balcony , enough closet and storage. Bed comfortable furnishings were functional, a little small.
Lots of fun entertainment, games, bands and shows..
Really appriciate that the fish on the carpet, all head to the front of the boat when finding your way to the cabin.
Food? No lobster night, anymore. I can not say it was very good compared to Royal Caribbean , celebrity or carnival. The escargot was thrown on a bun covered with brown gravy, ugh Eggs benedict , the chef forgot to put on canadian bacon, etc Suggest they send their chef's on a RC cruise to see how food should be .
Also the $7.00 charge for room service???!! not appreciated.
. Service, even in the Tzar or Azura was not good either. The freestyle dinning means the waiters do not introduce themselves, don't engage, and appear to not like their jobs. I had 7 people in my family and often the orders were wrong.
Getting on and off the boat for excursions was well handled.
I probably would not go again because of the food and food service, although I really liked the ship overall.
We took a cab into town, next time take the bus. walked around the Malecon (long board walk and shopped.
7 of us took a van to see the cliff divers, then on to a resort beach. We rented 2 umbrellas , 7 chairs from the vendors $15.00. They set them up in front of a resort hotel that let my family use the pools , bathrooms and even gave us towels. Most in our group went parasailing for $25.00 a piece. Great fun.
Cab rides for 7 people about $10.00
After you get there you can get a glass bottom boat for about $30 for 7 people and see lands in, etc. Good deal. It was too cold to snorkel. Remember to negotiate everywhere.
