This was our third cruise on Celebrity and our second on the Silhouette. The ship is remarkable, clean and well appointed. The boarding at the pier went well except for the long steep ramp to the ship. Had this last year so I knew what to expect. Not a big problem. The check-in went quickly.

Most important…the crew. The entire crew always had a smile, good morning, have a nice day, even those that we didn’t work with. First our butler, Orlando…what a great guy, always personal, and professional. We had only two minor requests and he took care of them both. Our cabin attendant kept our cabin spotless. Every time we met her, she always had a smile, and some conversation. Great job Leticia, glad you were on board. We ate in the MDR; even though we could have eaten in Blu because we were Aqua Class, we prefer the MDR; we like all the activity. First thing we did was to meet with the Maître-D, and request a table for two by a window. Didn’t get his name and I couldn’t recall it from last year; he was the Maître-D on last year’s cruise. He made sure we got a table-for-two. Our waiter, Nenad was one of the best, taking care of our dinners; making recommendations for our meals. Our assistant waiter, Arun, wow, what personality. Always with a smile, a joke or two to make us all laugh, (they both served the table next to us). It make every dinner a real pleasure. For breakfast, we ate at the buffet; my wife likes the vast selections that they offer; of course it gets a bit congested especially on sea days. But never a problem. We didn’t do any excursions, just wanted to enjoy the warm weather and good food.

The shows this year were a great improvement from our last cruise on the Silhouette. Not that there was anything wrong with the shows last year but, we noticed a vast improvement this year. Sarah was one terrific cruise director.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

Great cabin by the back of the ship, (AFT), long walk to restaurants and theater. Window washing equipment not a problem, soot not a problem.
