We [retired couple] took the cruise because we wanted not only to visit NOLA again, but also see the Mississippi and environs along the lower river which we have never visited. That it was a paddle boat and recently built was a plus [although the paddle is just window dressing :-)]. Having the day ahead in New Orleans was terrific [we added a few more days ahead of time too, American Cruise Lines did a great job coordinating], but the transfer by them from hotel to boat was one of the more disorganized efforts I've experienced in moving people from one place to another. They need to work a lot on that. The trip itself, visiting the cities and venues, the food, service and side trips included were really great. We were more than satisfied and would cruise with them again. One note, on this boat stay away from cabins 201 - 206: right next to entertainment lounge and PA system for entertainment usually from 8 to 9:30 pm and in the afternoons could be heard in those rooms: muted, but still heard.
