Norwegian Jewel Cruise Review by Richieline
Trip Details
- Sail Date: March 2017
- Destination: Mexican Riviera
Chose this cruise because San Pedro is within easy driving distance so don't have a needless flight. Also, the UBP (beverage package) was a perk, probably what sealed the deal. Otherwise we could have taken another line or Holland American out of San Diego like we did last year.
Loved the Jewel. Not too big or crowded. Easy on and easy off. User friendly.
Not the best food in history but plenty of choices (Hey, this is NCL, not Oceana).
We ate at O'Sheehan's twice,Chin Chin(Chinatown it's not),the Garden Cafe, and Azura.
Everything was satisfactory. The waiters were all terrific.
This was part of Spring Break week so there were a lot of children and teenagers aboard. All very well behaved. Didn't notice any drunken college kids. They must have taken the Carnival.
Had an inside cabin. Not paying extra for a room I don't use. We go for the Ports, not the ship or cabin.
Everything went smooth as silk. We'll be back.
