First cruise ever to celebrate a special birthday, it took a lot of persuading and only a back to back Caribbean would do to give it a try. Not everything went as it should. No Dreamliner which Thomson had promoted very heavily for this holiday, that was big disappointment not only to us but also to most travellers from other UK airports. The transfers went very well despite our flight being late. A full safety drill was the first thing to go through on board before being able to change after hours of travel, however the captain and crew were very diligent and our safety was their main concern.

After a few days we sorted the best places to eat namely 47 Degrees restaurant for civilised breakfast and dinner any other place , Snack Shack or Glass House for light lunches or daytime/nighttime snacks. All inclusive seems to be a funny word for Tui as we had to pay for all the bottled water and extra for coffees at certain place on board. Wifi was also charged at an arm and a leg prices on board £90 per device for two weeks, so waited for free Wifi at cafes/bars in various ports of call. The cabin with balcony was clean and fairly comfortable, the bathroom was a bit tight and somewhat dated. Plenty of storage space though for all our clothes. The Itinerary was pretty good but in one or two places we could have done with more time,Grenada & Bonaire only 6 or seven hours. We may have chosen to take some excursions but leaving ship at 7.00 or 8.00 in the morning was not on for us, we were on holiday !!!! We dis our own exploring at every stop and discovered the house where my mother was born 94 years ago. We thought the entertainment overall was entertaining. Some we liked some we liked less. What do you expect ? We met lots of nice people on board and were surprised at the extremely and I mean extremely wide cross section of passengers on board. The captain and crew worked extremely hard to ensure we were happy and well looked after. Overall we enjoyed our first cruise. Would we go again ? Yes but maybe cruise and stay instead. Would we go Tui ? Not sure, still have issues with previous holidays.

Cabin Review

Cabin deluxe balcony

Quite a good cabin , reasonable size, bathroom a bit small and shower a bit compact., storage space very good. Bed comfortable although the cabin superstructure creeked and groaned quite a bit at night as we sailed to the next destination. Cristina looked after the cabin very well, she seemed to work all hours of day and night.
