Sail Date: Mar 2017
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

Easy embarkation and debarkation from San Francisco. Awesome to sail under Golden Gate Bridge and past Alcatraz island. Ship showing it's age but overall very nice. Elevators are slow as everyone tries to pack in with no elevator etiquette. Layout was a bit confusing but had 15 days to figure out the ship. Horizon Court buffet was sub par at best and always crowded and hard to find a good table away from the breezy door ways. Michelangelo dining room was nice with good selection of different cuisine the entire time. Cabin was a mini suite (Deck 9) and very nice, however balcony was a bit unpleasant as passengers can look down from their balconies. Perhaps putting some sort of awning or overhang may help with privacy. Lotus spa was great and very friendly staff with adequate fitness equipment. Theater had adequate seating but I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before shows start to get a seat.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Cabin size was good and upgraded beds were good. Cabin steward was OK but barely saw him. Not a lot of drawer space for clothes for 15 days. Closet was adequate. Balcony was a bit disturbing if you value privacy. Deck 9 mini suite balconies hang out past rest of ship and all floors above are able to see down onto balcony. Perhaps Princess should put some sort of awning or enclosure to help with privacy issue.

Port Reviews

Hilo

Very interesting to see all the old lava flows and black sand beaches.
