When disembarking off of the cruise ship, me and my husband summed up the trip in one word: disappointing. We have sailed with Carnival before--him one other time; me two previous trips. Both of those were amazing. The ship overall outdated, and had a smell to it. Many of the elevators were out of service. Our cabin smelled of cigarette smoke. Our steward smoked in the hall next to our room. If you needed to call room service or guest services--good luck getting anyone to answer. The staff was rude, and pushed drinks and sales on us. We could not walk 5 feet without someone pushing another sale, and when you declined, they were rude. We prepaid gratuities and then was charged extra gratuities--we ended up paying over $200 in gratuities. Our ports were cancelled. Our excursions were cancelled. In lieu of this, the crew had nothing planned on the three sea days. We spent the last sea day in our room because there was NOTHING to do without spending more money. This company with squeeze every dime and dollar out of you.

This excursion was the only highlight of the whole experience. We went to ChiChen Itza. Pamela was amazing--our tour guide.
