We chose this cruise because it was going to places not seen before and ship was recommended by friends. Compared with other ships, we found Diamond Princess too big, our cabin too far from facilities. (800 metres to go to breakfast)! Cabin was small but well maintained. There were too many activities for us so it was not a relaxing experience.
Theatre was excellent, good lighting & sound and most shows very good. Shows in various bars very good too and Art auction well presented. Overall organisation was very good. Embarkation & disembarkation went very smoothly. Dining experience was disappointing compared with previous cruises, but service was good. Getting ashore was a chore! Long waiting times and long walks to leave jetty. Shore excursions were very expensive, although the local operators did a very good job. We did two private tours, one with other passengers, which were more comfortable and gave us a taste of local food.
We chose this trip but would not travel with Princess again.
Small but adequate. Service very good.
