We went on the Carnival Victory March 20, 2017 out of Miami. This was a Christmas present for our family and our first cruise. The ship had a delay in boarding in for a few hours so they shuttled us to the Bayside Marketplace and back. We were on the ship for a day and then went to Key West. We bought a Key West excursion from Carnival but were not given the correct paperwork for it. We got our money back for the excursion. After leaving Key West on our way to Cozumel a man went overboard. We were told that the coast guard was not letting us go to Cozumel and in 2 days we would return back to Miami. My heart does go out to the mans family! Carnival gave us the money back for the Cozumel excursion, Cozumel port fees and taxes. The food at dinner was not good and the waiter assigned table was rude. The buffet was good but the lines were long. The elevator lines were long too. We ended up taking the stairs most of the time. Carnival did not plan any extra entertainment or activities so we went to the same ones a couple of nights in a row. Carnival offered to give us 20% off our next cruise if we take it in the next year. We feel that Carnival should reimburse more than 20% towards the next cruise. This was a very disappointing first cruise.
