We selected this cruise as a short get away for a group of adults. Close proximity to port; size of ship and based on prior experience on Summit. We enjoyed the Summit when we cruised on her in 2015. Now, she is in need of some TLC: painting; rug replacement; elevator repairs. Embarkation: Easy, speedy and cabins were ready before 1:00pm! Dining in the main dining room was great! We had table 430 with Shurmon and "Nelson" were pleasant, attentive and after the first day,our beverages were waiting for us. Food was great; hot or cold appropriately; nice presentation. Buffet: Great selection of food. Servers were helpful and went out of their way to assist. Disembarkation: A heads up: should you need a wheelchair AFTER entering the terminal, once on the lower level, there are NO wheelchairs. We had a member of our group suddenly in need of a wheelchair and no one knew how to get one from the second floor. We asked staff, security and no one had radio contact with the second floor! Need better preparation for emergencies. A great big thank you to Laura El Massaoudi, Event Coordinator and Jack Falconer, Guest Relations Officer for their kind assistance with our group events!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 3
Cabin C3 8089
Our cabins steward was good; while we now need to request ice, the results were a half-filled container; Once we requested 2 containers the results were much improved.
Bed was very comfortable; balcony could stand some painting as there were some rust and paint flaking spots.
The shower, while having a shower curtain, we used clothespins to weigh down the curtain, thus it stayed inside the shower! Great trick! Storage in the bathroom was plenty.
Storage in the cabin was OK; Lots of room under the bed to store suitcases!
Using temporary wall hooks gave us places to hand robes, jackets, etc.
Doors are metal so using magnets allowed us to post calendars on walls and the door.
Afternoon canapes:not anything special and on occasion, unrecognizable.
