Sail Date: Oct 2016
Cabin: Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

After having cruised recently on older ships, we were interested in cruising with Viking on a recently built modern ship. We were expecting a lot with Viking in terms of service, food quality, excursions, and comfort, and were not disappointed.

Some of the not included excursions we tried to book were sold out fairly early. Some of the included excursions such as Rome and Barcelona were uninspiring.

The food was exceptional in all the venues. We were especially impressed with the quality of the food on the lido deck. The Italian restaurant was excellent.

Being a new ship the cabin was very comfortable. Bathroom was exceptional.

Port Reviews

Venice

Enjoyable walking tour

Split

Beautiful waterfalls with ample time to tour the old city before departure.

Dubrovnik

Nice tour of the walled city and history of the area.

Corfu

Beautiful island

Naples

One of the highlights of the trip. You really need to see this coastline.

Florence (Livorno)

Pisa was not one of our favorite stops. We did enjoy walking around Livorno which was very nice

Toulon

Toulon was not a good port and we had rainy weather.
