Traveled with children

We traveled with 9 people, 5 of them teenagers on their senior year spring break. The kids absolutely loved this trip and they were very involved in all areas of the ship. There was so much for them to do that at the end of the sailing, they were tired and needed sleep. The food and service were incredible and the kids made friends with most of the staff including the waiters, room stewards and also the cruise director of the ship.

We did excursions together and also every night had an incredible meal together. We were able to arrange to have the same table and wait staff each night. We enjoyed the excursions and shopping at each port. This ship has so much to offer that it only docks at 3 ports.

The only real issue we ran into was the teen club. Out of our 5 kids, 2 of them had just turned 18 two weeks prior to the sailing. Because their age was "over 17" they were not allowed into the teen area. This created issues as they were not able to participate in any of the teen activities. Because the others were close to the age of 18, they ended up going to activites for over the age of 18. This is a RCI policy that they will not bulge on. Believe me, we tried. At one point we contacted the Cruise Director about this and he called the on shore offices and because of laws and liability, they could not make an exception. Apparently it is an issue on most sailings. It ended up working out, but the first few days were frustrating as the kids did not know this would be an issue proir to the sailing.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

The cabin was clean and well organized. We had enough storage space for our clothing and items. The cabin was on the small side but we really enjoyed the bed and bedding. The room did not get as cool as to our liking. We traveled with others and the interior rooms were very cool as opposed to the balcony rooms.
